10/21/2007:

Well, it has been almost 9 months since the last update and a lot has been going on. On a personal note, I have been working in a new career field since October of last year, and my new career requires about 60-80 hours/week of my time, so I am trying my best to keep the site up-to-date. Visit the forum to see an update on the Family reunion. I have changed the structure of the site on the backend to make things a little easier to use. I have also updated the main page, registration page, Family tree and couple other odds and ends. Take a look around and send me some feedback! Thanks.

1/25/2007:

Thanks to the contributions of various family members of the past 2 weeks, I have made numerous changes to update/correct the family tree. Please keep this coming, since we want this to be as accurate as possible. Thank you all in advance for your assistance!

1/16/2007:

Alas, I have finally finished creating the Family Tree, viewable now via the Family Tree link from the menu. There is also a PDF version that you can download and print or view at home accessable from that page. We are still missing information that will tell us exactly how the 2 large sides of the family are connected...that would be how Moshe Jakow Lerner is related to Max Menasha Hacohen Lerner. I have also registered about 10 new people in the last 2 weeks, so lets keep this up. Let me know if you have any comments, questions, etc. Thanks!

1/1/2007:

Happy New Year!
My resolution this year is to start updating this site more frequently. We have also started the very initial planning of the family reunion to happen this year. We will be using this website as the main meeting place for this type of communication. Feel free to contact me with any questions about this.

In other news, I have made a bunch of changes to the site today, since I FINALLY had some free time. I have started to post pictures to the Galleries, updated the main page, updated the Registration page, updated the Forum with a new group for the Reunion, updated the Events pages, updated the Family Tree and created a better key for it, and fixed a couple bugs here and there. More to come soon...

11/15?/2006:

We mourn the death of Henry Lerner, the eldest and last of Samuel Lerner's 5 children. He is survived by his wife Lynn and his son Ross. Our prayers and thoughts go out to them.

6/5/2006:

The picture gallery is in progess but I am in need of more family pictures. Please send me any pictures you have webmaster@thelernerfamily.com. Thanks!

I have updated the Family Tree with more information sent to me by various family members. I have also posted the 1920 census with Carl and his family on it as well as the 1930 census with Samuel and his family on it. Additionally, there is a new links on the links page. I have also corrected some formatting issues and bugs in various places on the site. More good stuff coming soon...

5/23/06:

Starting today, I have secured the following pages: the Family Tree, Pictures, Past Events, and Upcoming. You must now provide a username and password to access these pages. This can be obtained by Registering. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this. Thank you.

5/14/06:

The new format is now in place. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

5/6/06:

The old format for the site was not very good so I have implemented a new layout: better navigation, expanded content, clearer pages, and easier to get around. Also, the forum is offically open. I will be using some type of security on the site for the family tree and pictures once I start to post them, due to security concens some have expressed. Look for that soon. Let me know what you think of it. Thanks!

4/19/06:

I have created a web forum where we can all talk it up about whatever. I am still tweaking and customizing it but it will be ready shortly!

5/14/05:

I have graduated from college and am now working for a major international law firm in New York City. They keep me very busy. Anyway, I am working on some cool new features for the site so I will keep you posted.

5/17/03:

So I am finally finished with school for this semester and even though I have summer school, I anticipate more time to work on this site. So, from now on, when ever I update something important on the site, you will be able to find out about it here. I will also start to send out mailing list updates. Having said all of that, here is the first update: As of right now (11:30PM) I have only received 13 mailing list entries and I know I have more relatives than that; so please, if you know of a family member who has e-mail and/or Internet (which I suspect is almost everyone) tell them to come to the site and fill out the form! Thanks. I have started scanning in pictures to post on the site. Look for some posts soon. Also, I have started work on the family tree but I need information from anyone who can help.

This is every ones assignment to help me, if they can: E-mail me and tell me who you are, who is your mother and your father using full names, also list all of your siblings including first and last names (current names and maiden names). That's all I ask. Also please include birth dates and death dates if you can.

This is will me to get a better idea of how everyone is related because as of right now, I have a whole bunch of names and I don't know how some of them are connected. That is all I have for now thanks!
